For Pete Miller, adapting to meet changing conditions isn’t a proposition that requires a lot of debate. He thinks it just makes good sense.

Amidst all the talk about disruption in the industry, Pete has spent the last few years focused on the pick-and-shovel work of change management. A longtime advocate for the organization’s innovation efforts, Pete served as the Chair of the firm’s SeyfarthLean Client Solutions Group from 2012 to 2014. In that capacity, he retained operational responsibility for the firm’s client-facing project management and technology innovation teams, providing critical guidance and executive sponsorship to a growing team of multi-disciplinary professionals.   

As the Chair and Managing Partner of Seyfarth Shaw, Pete oversees the firm’s operations and is responsible for the leadership, direction, growth, profitability and culture of the organization.. Pete works closely with the SLC management team to align operations across the Seyfarth Family to the organization’s mission and strategy.

Background

Pete has been practicing in the employee benefits and executive compensation fields for over twenty years. He has substantial experience advising public and private companies as to the design, implementation, and operation of their retirement and welfare benefit programs and their executive compensation matters. Pete has been a member of the firm’s Executive Committee since 2007, and most recently served as chair of the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Department.

Pete earned his law degree at DePaul University and his undergraduate degree at Marquette University.
