Background

Chris’s path toward legal tech started after his first year of law school, with a 10-week summer fellowship at Chicago-Kent’s Center for Access to Justice and Technology. He worked during the next two years as a TA, helping other law students learn document automation software in Chicago-Kent’s Access to Justice practicum.

After graduating, Chris worked at Illinois Legal Aid Online, where he developed automated documents serving tens of thousands of pro se users per year and used his Scrum Master Certification to facilitate the rebuilding of the organization’s website. His next step was Seyfarth, where he received his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and continues his work in legal technologies.

Away from the office, Chris enjoys taking advantage of Chicago’s live music and various food offerings. He is an active member of the Illinois Bar.

"When you show people how automation can save them time and effort, their eyes light up. They realize, 'This will help me do my job.' ”
